Love Yourself More: A silly show of strategies for happier, healthier, more motivated kids!
Runtime: 45 minutes
When I created Love Yourself More, I had to choose. Boring lecture about self-directed kindness and compassion? (Noooo!!) Or silly interactive show about the same? (Yes!!) So let’s take some time to play a grand game of pretend. I promise to embarrass myself. We’ll all sing a song together. Maybe we’ll even scream!
Why? Because low self-esteem feels terrible and leads to depression, anxiety, acting out, substance abuse, bullying, poor academic performance, and other bad stuff. And because I want students to be happier, healthier, and more motivated in school and throughout life. I know you do, too. The solution is simple: Love Yourself More!
About the Show
Love Yourself More is a 45-minute program full of strategies K-5 kids can use to show themselves care and compassion, such as speaking up for themselves, honoring their own moods, and giving themselves grace for mistakes. It’s all disguised as a very silly show full of stories, songs, and opportunities for students to interact, sing along, and even shout and yell—a fun way to use their voices!
